Join AMSA, the Largest Pre-Health Organization at the University of Miami​!

​

As an AMSA member you gain:

  • Access to the largest Physician Shadowing Program at UM

  • An AMSA T-Shirt

  • Ability to earn AMSA Awards through the AMSA Points System 

  • Ability to run for the AMSA Executive Board during Elections

  • Access to the End of the Year Banquet (Food, Awards, Senior Send-off!)

  • Receive AMSA Graduation Cords (Must be "Active" status in your graduating year)

How do I join?

​

To gain access to all of the benefits of becoming an AMSA member, you must pay local chapter dues. There will be more info on dues at our first general body meeting during the second week of school!​

​

AMSA is the largest National Medical Student organization, meaning it also has National dues (one time $70 fee) . This is a mandatory fee if you want to add AMSA in your AMCAS Med School application. If you are so inclined, you can become a National member at amsa.org.

 

To be considered an "Active" Member, ​ you must meet the following requirements each semester:​

  • Attend mandatory monthly meetings (you may be excused if you are unable to attend)

  • Pay AMSA dues 

  • Participate in 1 Volunteering Event
